Perverts albumn from Ethel Cain
Garfield 2

Perverts is an experimental albumn that leans more toward the ambient stylings of Aphex Twin. According to Ethel, the EP was originally centered around Knockemstiff’s overarching theme of various forms of perversion, though only Punish and Amber Waves remained from that initial concept. While I would have preferred a more dedicated commitment to that theme, its remnants are still deeply embedded in the albumn’s progression, casting a dark and immersive atmosphere. Following the extended lo-fi ambiance of the opener, the lead single, Houseofpsychoticwomn, emerges. Despite having the most intriguing title, it stands as my least favorite track, as it closely mirrors the sound of the opener. However, its inclusion is justified—it fulfills its intended role, weaving together unsettling layers of dark ambient textures and a lingering guitar riff, all underscored by a chillingly monotonous repetition of “I love you.” For me, not my kind of music but while listening the albumn evokes a complex range of emotions—repulsion, existential dread, sorrow, and even awe at its sheer beauty—while incorporating profound references to philosophy and religion. I respect this albumn deeply.★★★☆☆

Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo
Club Penguin: Herbert's Revenge

So Metallica's music video for the song "One" uses clips from the 1971 film "Johnny Got His Gun" (based on the 1939 novel of the same name by Dalton Trumbo)- figured I shoudl read the book cause my fav Metallica song uses it.It's really powerful, especially any time there’s just a long string of “no no no no no.” Also, I have to admit that it really made me aware of my body in interesting ways, like when Joe is trying to feel each nerve ending in his face to discover how much of it is left and where the hole is - hard not to close your eyes and try to focus on specific nerves. What stuck with me is how prescient it is. The narrator realizes that he’s essentially a prototype, that the military realizes that his incredibly uncommon case will be the norm in future wars. The introduction to the text I read was a heavy reflection on the Iraq War. Interesting tidbit: Trumbo had a hard time with this novel historically speaking. It was first printed about two weeks before Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia, and Trumbo himself was not opposed to WWII. He wrote an introduction to the novel’s 1950s edition that made this clear and that admitted he was uncomfortable with the pacifist encouragement he received in the 1930s and 1940s because most of those people seemed less anti-war and more anti-intervention-because-pro-Nazi.★★★☆☆

Poorly Drawn albumn from Tipless
Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force

Poorly Drawn" by Tipless is a unapologetic punk album (and for once it really is punk). The lead singers voice is PERFECT and she really digs into aspects of politcal hypocrisy in such a satisfying way. My favorite off the albumn has to be "They were not roommates, they were lovers." The line "Trans kids are not your enemy, and if you really cared about protecting the children like you say you do, the suicide rates of queer youth would fucking horrify you, if you MEAN WHAT YOU SAY" thrives on this confrontational energy—shouting back at outdated molds and false allyship in the way I wish I could confront these kinds of people. By blending blistering punk instrumentals with lyrics that refuse to beg for understanding, Poorly Drawn really was an awesome albumn★★★★☆

The Apothecary Diaries
Scribblenauts

Really enjoyed the whole thing. Maomao is 10/10 protagonist. While there -are- a lot of smaller "mystery of the week" things going on, there are also just enough hints and teases at bigger overarching plot points that makes everything feel meaningful in some way.SPOILER:Reunion between Lakan and Fengxiao is so emotional even though I dislike both of them, just like how Maomao dislike them.★★★☆☆

20th Century Boys
Moshi Monsters: Moshing Theme Park

Lots of time skips so it sometimes gets messy but the charcters make up for it ★★★☆☆

Please Touch the Artwork 2
Moshi Monsters: Katzuma Unleased

I love it when something that seems completely unremarkable at first turns out to leave a lasting impression on the soul. Please, Touch The Artwork 2 is exactly that. With this game, Thomas Waterzooi seems to be sharing a powerful but often overlooked message: "An artist lives on as long as their work does." And in the broadest sense, that couldn't be more true. So here’s my heartfelt advice—if you’re feeling drained by the chaos of the world, the injustice, and if the grass outside your window still hasn’t started to grow, take a moment to touch the paintings. It’s surprisingly comforting.★★★★☆

Marvel: Rivals
Pony Friends 2

Honestly cool game mechanics, the characters are all fun, some skins are awesome (if you know you know), Jeff is a little cutie.★★★☆☆

Optimal Obfuscation: Democracy and Trade Policy Transparency By Daniel Y. Kono
Suite Life of Zac and Cody: Circle of Spies

This study is a well-executed and insightful analysis of how democracy (specifically liberal dem) shapes trade policy. Main takeaway showing that while democracy reduces tariffs, it leads to higher core NTBs like quotas and even higher quality NTBs such as product standards. ★★★★☆

Dandadan
Strawberry Shortake: Strawberryland Games

Watched this with someone special so might boost the ratings but also looks great, Creepy Nuts killed it with the opening song, fun ass characters shout out Turbo Granny ★★★★☆
